Non-invasive treatments have been trending in Cosmetic Surgery Centers for over a year now— and we don’t see that changing any time soon. With the help of technology, there are many more solutions to our cosmetic goals that do not involve going under the knife. For many patients, the downtime and risk associated with traditional surgery can be major deterrents. So how do you get the results of a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure without traditional surgery? Three words: Sculptra Butt Lift.
What Is Sculptra And Who Is A Good Candidate for a Sculptra Butt Lift?
Sculptra, or poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA), is an injectable dermal filler used for skin and soft tissue augmentation. Sculptra stimulates your body’s own collagen production and can be used for volume restoration and skin rejuvenation. Ideal patients for a Sculptra Butt Lift at Precision MD Cosmetic Surgery Center in Elk Grove are between 22 – 52 years of age, near their ideal body weight, and wish to improve texture and volume of the buttocks. Patients who are good candidates for the Sculptra Butt Lift treatment desire a natural-looking improvement in their buttocks with minimal side effects. Often times, they are athletic women— spin instructors, professional athletes, etc.— who have lost fat in their upper buttocks due to rigorous exercise and restrictive dieting. Sometimes, these patients may not be a good candidate for the fat transfer portion of a traditional surgical Brazilian Butt Lift as they do not have enough fat for the procedure. All of our Sculptra Butt Lift patients wish to restore their feminine curves quickly, non-invasively and with minimal down time.
How Is A Sculptra Butt Lift Performed and How Long Do Results Last?
During the first part of your Sculptra Butt Lift treatment at Precision MD, topical lidocaine is applied to the area to be injected. The numbing process usually takes thirty minutes to occur. After your skin is sufficiently numbed, Dr. Cuber, our Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon, will inject Sculptra into the upper buttock with very small needles. Dr. Cuber recommends that patients receive at least five vials of Sculptra injected per side. Depending on the desired level of augmentation, most patients require at least three treatments, scheduled six weeks apart. Though results can be noticed as early as six weeks after treatment, the optimal outcome is not usually revealed until about six months after the procedure. Maximum results from a Sculptra Butt Lift may last between 18 months to two years after the injections. Although, some patients report seeing improvements lasting much longer.
